Author Development Workshop (July 25-26, 2019)

In a continuing effort to help authors, the editors of the Journal of Consumer Research are calling for submissions for consideration for an Author Development Workshop in Boulder, Colorado. The workshop is open to consumer research scholars who are assistant professors, do not have access to senior mentorship on publishing, and have not yet published in JCR.

In connection with the special issue on “The Future of Brands in a Changing Consumer Marketplace,” the Journal of Consumer Research invites consumer researchers to the “Future-of-Brands” Conference hosted by the Center on Global Brand Leadership at Columbia Business School in New York City. The conference will begin with a cocktail reception on the evening of December 5 and take place during the days of December 6-7, 2019.

Deadline: September 15, 2019

The current JCR editors will end their term on December 31, 2020. The JCR Policy Board is making a call for nominations for the next editor term to begin on January 1, 2021 and end on December 31, 2023.

“The Future of Brands in a Changing Consumer Marketplace” Special Issue (August 2021)

The purpose of this special issue is to encourage and feature cutting-edge research on the conceptual and practical implications of consumer behavior within the changing marketplace for brands and branding. We are interested in insightful, impactful research on brands in terms of their meaning and relationship to and influence on consumer behavior and marketplace phenomena.
